Why I love the Painted Turtle Cafe.. I would classify The Painted Turtle Cafe as a four star working man’s restaurant. The quality of the food is 4star, the service is 4star, the cooking is 3star, Looks are not the best but the flavor is mostly there. Owner will listen to complaints and act on it immediately. I go there as often as I can and have enjoyed all my meals since I started going there. I am not afraid to recommend the restaurant or meat market out back.
Awesome…….. My husband and i went for the first time to the Painted Turtle Cafe with my sister and her husband recently for breakfast. We ordered steak and eggs….well, to our surprise the steak was a huge t-bone on one dinner plate and the eggs, hash and toast served on a separate plate. Wow!!!! We certainly got more for our money than expected. FOOD WAS GREAT !!!!! Thank you and we look forward to visiting again.
Are You Kidding Me?. First you can get a glass stolen from a wedding party full of flat beer. Then you may order a Filet which is really a sirloin with bone removed. After that you can go to the restroom which is so putrid and vile you have already realized that this place is a gutter. After which someone will come to you and assault you verbally about the quality of the food. Leave quickly. I have never seen such ignorant so-called restaurant owners in my life. Turn around now. If there is a Hell for Persons that own Food Establishments The Painted Turdle is Number One.
I’d go again!. Although small, this restaurant can sometimes pack a punch. The food is wonderful (when they have it in stock), the owners are very nice people, and very understanding. Yet some of the servers can be very rude. Which clearly ruins the atmosphere when its spoiled with a nasty attitude. Besides that the place has great deals and had recently been remodeled. A much cleaner look to it.
Slow service. The all you can eat fried clams were recommended, but found them to be overcooked. Might try again for wing night, but not really impressed.
Poor service and rotten smell . Will not return and will tell friends to steer clear
