Great Family dinner. My family and I were celebrating my fathers birthday, eight of us, and we had a fantastic meal. We came during the busy hours on Friday night only because we had people driving up from out of state. Normally I wouldn’t take a large group to a restaurant at 7 pm on a friday because we get stuck waiting on food and service but this was not the case! Our server greeted us with a smile, kept the pace perfectly, and our food was tremendous. The mussels and calamari are to die for! My husband had the moracann salmon. I wish I had gotten that too! It’s not something we had ever had before. But my filet was fantasic tasting. Tried the infused berry martini…hope that’s on the summer menu. Great overall. Everyone has an off day and you can’t always please everyone but the Grillhouse gave us exactly what we were looking for plus some.
Poor Experience. I have been to this restaurant many times before and have had good experiences, today I went for brunch and was very disappointed. The restaurant was very cold, I noticed that some people were wearing their coats and one party switched tables looking for a warmer spot. My food was a disappointment. I ordered an omelet with crab, but the crab was missing! Actually, I had one fork full of crab, but I expected more for $14. The service was poor too! I hope the manager takes notice and makes some changes. I would not recommend this restaurant for brunch, and I will not be going back, there are many other restraurants to choose from. I have never written a review and it’s not like me to do so; so this speaks to my high level of disappointment. I highly recommend Stone’s Bakery in North Yarmouth, Maine. Not as fancy but it’s warm, delicious food, and great service!
NOT what it used to be. I’ve been to royal river grillhouse several times in the past. I used to really like this place. I just went there recently, I was disappointed with the mediocre food and poor service for the high prices. The fries used to be the best part of the meal but now they are soggy. The $10 strawberry salad had unsliced strawberries and the dressing was not even mixed in (just poured on in strands). We may not ever go back again.
Infrequent Diner. Great service and good drinks but the food has gone way downhill. Chowder not very good, special winter salad was mostly lettuce and steaks not the same quality as they have been in the past. Desert was nothing special.
Delicious food. Great selections for meals and cocktails. Yum! Beautiful atmosphere and views. Service is excellent!
Fair Fare. The Royal River Grill House has fair fare at a rather expensive price. In the past much better quality menu. Bar has a great atmosphere and is a good place to meet for some apps and drinks. As of late not impressed with Entres….
Lunch Was Terrific!. Lunch was terrific and very bountiful! I had NE Clam Chowder and the wood grilled pork loin sandwich. There was a nice variety of draft beer and bottled beer.
