The food is very good. The ‘homestead’ does not have good atmosphere. The waitress (a.k.a owner) has an attitude. Yikes, not worth the time. Sad because of anything that could be corrected (or improved) friendliness should come easy.
Our board had a choice of a delicious meal of either baked stuffed haddock, steak or chicken with sides of salad; scalloped potatoes or rice and vegetable. Dessert and coffee to follow.
Pork medallions, fresh asparagus, and polenta were exquisite. Reservations are needed and well worth it.
I found the atmosphere sombre, cramped and unfriendly, and the food, frankly, mirrored this — nothing distinctive, certainly not worth the price.
