Delicious. I frequently visit Ellsworth from New Jersey and every visit must include dinner at Angelo’s. We’ve had sandwiches, pizza and full dinners and never been disappointed. If you love authentic Italian food there is no place better.
Delicious. I’ve tried all the pizza joints in Ellsworth and this is my favorite hands down. I’ve never had a pizza from here that I didn’t enjoy. The Mediterranean is my go-to, but really you can’t go wrong with any of their specialty pies.
4.5 stiirs. Appearance – 5 stiirs – wowtaste – 5 stiirs – mmmmtime – 5 stiirs – fasttexture – 4 stiirs – soggy, yet manageable price – 5 stiirs – lowtoppings a plenty, unstingy with the cheese. 😀 thumbs up!
The pizza was the redeeming item in our visit. Very hot and tasty. With only 1 other eat-in customer, all the booths were dirty and 4 customers were waiting in their cars for take-out.
Angelo’s has to best tasting pizza in the Ellsworth area. Their pies are always generiously covered with toppings. They have a great selection of non-pizza options as well. I have never gone away unhappy. They have never made me wait for a called in order past the amount of time quoted over the phone.
Traditional, good, slow….. Food is about what you’d expect for a typical ‘pizza joint’ in Maine with a couple of notable exceptions. Their ‘all meat’ pizza is REALLY good – and not wet/soggy like most. They are, however, pretty slow. Take out is almost never ready when promised. Has potential for improvement.
