Six of us ate here. Four dishes were decent and two were poor. My salmon was overcooked to the point of being tough. Worst of all was the length of time for the food to come out. Expect to wait 75 minutes like we did. Lthough others I have talked to enjoyed the food, everyone complained about how long it took for the food to get out of the kitchen.
Intimate Dining Experience. Town Hill Bistro, while a little expensive, had an inspired menu including many locally sourced and house made dishes. Until our arrival, we didn’t realize that they only have a handful of tables and were turned away during our first attempt to dine here; as they already had reservations for all their tables. We called the next morning to reserve a time slot for that evening and they were already nearly booked; so reservations seem to be essential if you’d like to eat here. We had a lovely cheese plate as an appetizer along with a lobster and shrimp salad. I had an Asian style skirt steak and sampled some handmade gnocchi as well as some pan seared halibut; all of which were well prepared. For dessert; I had a lavender creme brulee, which was a good ending to a lovely meal. All of the staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended if you are in town and want to have a nice dinner in an intimate setting.
