We stopped here on the way from Massachusetts to Kennebunkport Maine for lunch. The food was good, but not great. The cup of fish chowder was small compared to other restaurants and had potatoes but hardly any fish in it. The clam roll was good, but tourist priced at $19. The onion rings had a nice batter, but the onions were not completely cooked. The view behind the restaurant is nice, and the service was great although they seem to get everything to you at rocket speed so that even with an appetizer you’re kinda rushed out of there in half an hour or so.

I wrote a very bad review for Robert’s after my dining experience. I also sent a copy of it to the restaurant.I have to say that when they say they take everyone’s dining very, very serious, they mean it…I received a very professional reply with actual concern about what happened. Without getting into the details of everything, I am going to gladly go back and give them another try. I’m actually looking forward to it. Thank you to the manager for reaching out to me in the way you did. I’m very, very impressed.Kevin20 Jul, 2013Good concept. Bad execution. The fillet mignon was a spec on the plate. The caramelized onions were a pearl onion lost among the potatoes. The fried brussel sprouts were pan fried and burned. I ordered the wesge salad with shrimp…. no shrimp came, when they did come (nothing special with soot from the grill on them, that,s all I tasted. They said they would take the the shrimp and brussel sprouts off the bill which they never did.On a good side. The onion rings were fantastic cooked perfectly. The burgers were the hit of the night. Ordered iy medium rare, it was perfect. The waitress was very nice and kknowledgeable but seemed a little stressed out.Next time I’m in town I won’t go back. I felt like I was in a high priced tourist trap.

Beautiful waterfront place, very thoughtful service. We were lucky to get May’s Tuesdays and Wednesdays delicious special menu for cheap.

Food good but service horrible. Major attitude from waitress. My party was very nice to her but she had a attitude as soon as she came to table. She was very nice to her other tables and made sure she was obvious that we new that. Very unwelcoming.

Everyone in our party of 6 enjoyed their meal. It’s not a cheep eats type of place. We sat on second floor overlooking water.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Would definitely return. Best price at lunchtime.

Always very good. An oasis amid the outlets. Lovely location on a tidal marsh, cool, beachy decor, and fresh, quality food. Their recently expanded menu offers more non-seafood options. The food is fresh and tastes home-cooked. I’m never disappointed!
