This place has a great small cozy atmosphere as soon as you walk in. But seating capacity is probably only about 60 people and wait times on peak nights probably average 45 minutes to be seated. Definitely plan ahead expect a wait.They have a great menu, great bar and really friendly staff to back it up. Our table of four all enjoyed their food. However it took nearly 65 minutes to be served our entrees. By the time we walked in to when we walked out it was nearly 3 hours.Total bill for drinks, meals and deserts was $204.
Awesome!. Mike and Mary are probably regulars at Denny’s as their pallets are about as sophisticated as that of a gerbil (which is fine with me as there is a wait to get in after 5pm). The black birch is a funky warm little gem with an eclectic menu that has something for everyone. It does get busy and crowded, but that is what one expects at such a well run establishment that is overflowing with character and offers a creative selection of dishes in a variety of sizes. This place isn’t cheap but not overly expensive either. You get what you pay for and I gladly pay for the Black Birch’s delightful food and drinks! Oh, and don’t forget to order the made-to-order doughnuts on the dessert menu!
Best Restaurant in Kittery!. This is, without a doubt, the best restaurant in Kittery. The environment is relaxed and casual (we always end up meeting fun new people and having hilarious encounters!) The food is always incredible; interesting flavors in classic dishes make this one of our favorite spots to eat. As a couple of real foodies, we love Black Birch for its amazing food, approachable & knowledgeable bartenders, and community atmosphere!
