First time Indian food. First I have to say I am hesitant to try out of the way , small restaurants .. why I love this app and reviews!!!Because finding great places to eat different foods for us is fun … My BF is more of a cheeseburger type guy and eating different foods is a challenge for me to get him to try! Parking is limited in front of restaurant but not impossible to find if you don’t mind a little walk. Restaurant was packed at 7:45 pm on a Friday night .. We were greeted buy a host a few minutes after we arrived .. who seemed to be having an off night .. asked if we had reservations , we didn’t , and I was a little taken back he seemed flustuard he didn’t seem to say anything about if we could wait .. i asked if we needed then and he said yes would be better if we did and I said could we wait ??? He then said yes but would be 30.. we have all waited 30 min for tables before !! The smells wavering in the air were amazing !! With in 10 min seats at bar opened and we sat for a cocktail and looked over menu.. service was quick for our drinks .. we had to tell two different servers we were waiting for a table… ( people were eating at bar) … i am not sure that people just sit at bar to wait for table .. couple next to us over heard us discussing the menu and at the same time the owner came up to us at asked if we were ok and we said again we were waiting for a table .. and couple next to us told him to explain menu we were newbies !! He did explained the cooking and the time and heat of each of the dishes . He was was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and even though it was busy he never seemed rushed taking the time to walk us through the foods!! We immediately after that got a table and ordered our foods .. we ended up ordering chicken and shrimp entrees Marslas ….. and onion spinach fried app and cheese breads….. the owner had promised to bring a dish of pork vindalo to my BF who likes heat in his food to try and he did!!! The overall experience after meeting the host …was a wonderful experience and food was amazing !!! Very small dinning area but intimate and relaxing!!! Sorry for such a long review .. but I hope it helps for anyone to know that it is certainly a place to go and have a great experience and great food!!!! .. I commend the owner for interactions with customers .I felt like we could be known buy name ….. and not a table number !!!!
Wonderful find!!!. This really good Indian in a quiet neighbourhood in Kittery, just barely still in Maine, is a real find. Papadums were beyond fantastic, and all four of our. entrees were delicious, It is slightly expensive but very much worth it, and there is a good beer and wine selection as well as a full bar. The only oddity was the absence of that Indian appetizer stand-by, Samosas. This must be the only Indian in the world without them. When we questioned this we were given the ASTONISHING RESPONSE that they sell them at the Farmers’ Market!!! What good does that do restaurant patrons? On the whole though, definitely worth a return visit. We drove down from Kennebunkport.

Absolutely wonderful. We have eaten here many times and foind every dish fantastic. Unless you cannot stand Indian food, you should eat here.
SO good. This is easily the best Indian restaurant around. It’s a bit pricey, but if you get the right things, it’s definitely worth it. You MUST get: malai, jeera, and boti Kabobs, chicken tikka masala, and palak paneer. Their naans, kulchas, and parathas are all very good – make sure to get some with your dinner… and PLEASE don’t eat them as an appetizer. That’s just… not right (the food is supposed to be scooped up with the bread). For dessert, the rasmalai is deeeelish. I go so often, some of the waitstaff have started to recognize me… hehe
