Visited from Canada and tried the lobster and haddock. Massive portions at a great price. Our waitress Sue took the time to teach us how to eat a lobster. Awesome service and easy on the wallet. I’d definitely recommend.
Best fish and chips for the money anywhere 7.99
Fish chowder. I go for their fish chowder for lunch and have been going there for years, I stop in at several Weathervanes when working.
So disappointing:( food was gross, (stringy underdone lobster, cold soggy fries, tasteless burger, inedible buffalo strips, gritty steamers) service was missing & when around totaly rude, I’ll never go back!
Great quality food. We visited the Weathervane while traveling on vacation, never having been in this part of Maine before. Weathervane is a small local chain of mid-price restaurants. We were very impressed by the experience. We enjoyed grilled salmon sandwiches, cooked just right, crusty on the outside and tender flaky on the inside. Side dishes and an order of fried onion rings were equally delicious. Weathervane serves lobster, seafood, burgers, and much more. The decor is plain but comfortable. Our server, Lisa, seemed genuinely friendly and eager to please. Prices were reasonable for the high quality food.
Worst restaurant I have ever been to. I ordered clam chowder and a grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potatoe waffle fries. The chowder was ice cold, an the entree he gave me was nothing close to what I ordered. Gave me a wrap with regular fries. Also two orders in the group I was with were messed up and the server could barely speak English. An understaffed restaurant that did a terrible job of keeping up with filling drinks and asking how we were doing. I would not reccomend coming here…ever
Good food. The food was cooked perfectly, as usual. Fish and chips is the best bargain on the menu. Service during lunchtime is quick so in and out is not a problem.
