We frequent Morse’s about 4-6 times a year. The food is pretty good although a few things miss their mark for our tastes. Any of the sausage platters with their own sauerkraut or Rotikraut are great, just pick the sausage styles you like. The complimentary pickles are good, with plenty of zip. The sauerkraut balls are a perfect app, the periogies are not bad, but we miss the meat ones, which apparently left with the previous periogie maker and the new supplier is vegetarian, thus no more meat. Reuben’s are top notch here, with your choice of pastrami, corned beef or a meat substitute? The German market is a treasure trove as well. If your dining in winter it can be a bit chilly in the dining room, dress accordingly.
Yum!!. Don’t let the little dinning space off the side of the store fool you. It is by far the BEST Ruben I have ever had!!! My boyfriend had the hot roast beef sandwich with horseradish sauce and the beef melted in your mouth. It was a great lunch. Can’t wait to go back. They have 2 containters of their homemade pickles on the table.
