Not sure why the poor ratings. We spend the summer in Maine and come here several times for the food, view and occasional live music on the river. Waitresses we have had are sweet and attentive. We normally order clam chowder, clam and shrimp tacos, nachos and other pub foods. I recommend as it’s the only restaurant in Damariscotta with a great view, reasonable prices and really good food. Cheers
Mixed Feelings. OK, the oysters are great! It’s unlikely you can find fresher oysters than here, so close to where their harvested. On the downside rest of what we had was just OK. Lobster Pie and Prime Rib were both mediocre for the price, the sides were small and the service not good. But, if you love raw shucked oysters, this is the place with a nice view.
