Excellent service, delicious food, awesome dining room all at fair prices. They really have stepped up their game at Jonathan’s over the last couple years. Food and service use to be inconsistent. No longer the case now. Give it a try.
Romantic dinner spot. Great dinner spot off the main strip (92 Bourne Ln) that was recommended by a couple we met while waiting for the trolley in town. Had a 3 piece combo playing the Friday night we were there. Perfect for a night out with that special someone. One of the specials that night was Cioppino, a delicious overflowing bowl of seafood. Prices were very reasonable for a classy dinner club. Well worth investigating.
We went in the middle of the week in the off season. Wine was great. Biscuits served before dinner tasted just like KFC. My appetizer got lost so they gave me a free salad which tasted better than the stuffed mushrooms anyway. The eggplant parmesan was bland. The steak was great. We split the creme brle which was good too. Then we got a bill for $115. Way overpriced in comparison to the food. I would happily spend that amount elsewhere.
Excellent Food! Area average prices.. I’m not sure why this place gets a blistering review. Our experience was terrific, great food, great attentive service, and atmosphere. (Jonathan’s’ also hosts entertainment from July thru November with some great famous acts. Check out their web site for info on who is coming.) Food prices are average for Ogunquit in summer…I have noticed some reviews that complain about prices and to be sure, some establishments are higher than others, but in a classy resort town, one comes to expect that. There are alternatives in Wells, MCDonalds etc..so if you are on a budget, go for it. Or vacation in Old Orchard Beach. Basically, you get what you pay for,
