Saturday night called in like star bright, made reservation, no hesitation, ordered the steak special – straight cut like machias would have been better cut on a bias.. Met MC seems like a good guy to me.
I love this place but their Sunday brunch was not good. I started with a Bloody Mary. It was good but there was nothing special about it. Next I had three oysters on the half shell. These was fantastic.Now the problems start. I ordered the lobster Benedict. I asked the server to make sure the yolks were runny. The lobster and the hollandaise sauce were excellent. The English muffins were thick and dry. The yolks on the eggs were rock hard.I complained to my server and she apologized. One of the owners was sitting two tables away eating with some friends. I told my server the owner needs to spend more time in the kitchen than socializing. She nodded her head in agreement.At no time did the manager ever come to the table to apologize. When I left I asked to speak with the manager. He ended up taking 1/2 off the lobster Benedict. The server kept apologizing. I told her that was the managers job not hers. The server did a great job trying to make up an absentee owner and manager. I might go back but it won’t be for a long time.
