Our go to place when we’re here. Staff is terrific and friendly. Lobster was good and loved the green beans that was the days veggie. They were saluted in olive oil and garlic. Hubby had ribs which he didn’t like; but it’s a lobster place…
Thanks John. My sister and I were up for her birthday on Memorial Day weekend. This place is a can’t miss. The staff is amazing and the men who cook the lobsters are spot on. This is the place where you can go to get the lobster cooked, cracked and served the way it should be. What a pleasure to find the owner sitting there when we left. His enthusiasm for the new branding and rollout was infectious. We have been going to OLP for 20 years and it has never disappointed. If you want the best lobster on the East Coast, don’t miss this gem!
Food was great, Server was outstanding! We had never eaten lobster before she showed us how to take it apart showed us were all meat was, she went above being a good waitress! Food was delouse. Great experience.
A great Maine experience. Atmosphere: BFood: AService: BOverall: A-This was the place we went on our first night in Maine. Being that we’re from the only landlocked New England state, we were anxious to have some fresh seafood. The restaurant is a typical seafood joint where you are able to go pick out your own lobster. That was fun, and the college guys working the tank were entertaining. They also were a pretty good judge of lobster size. After we picked our lobster, we headed back to the table and our appetizer of fresh little neck steamers arrived. They were great. Sweet and not full of sand. The lobsters come cooked and precut, which makes for an amazingly low-maintenance lobster experience. They cook the lobsters in seawater, which imparts an amazing flavor that hints of sea salt. The lobster comes with two sides, and those were good too. Between my husband and I we had the asparagus, which was grilled with garlic, the mashed potatoes, and a baked potato. My one complaint was that the service seemed to be a bit disjointed. We must have seen 4 people serving us in some fashion, so we weren’t really sure who was doing what. Overall, a good experience and we will definitely go back in the future.
A favorite with my family. I hope to return again this summer!
Great seafood, as it should be. Very nice place and prices as reasonable as anywhere .
