WOW!. My family and I just had St. Patty’s Day Breakfast at Post Road Tavern. My son Jacob and I ordered the Irish Breakfast Special, and my wife ordered a much more tame special. I will only review my meal. It was mammoth first of all. Every item was the most delicious I have ever had. Three huge poppers that were exploding with flavor. Guinness, spices, and the texture were making my taste buds to the Irish Jig with every bite. Two more types of sausage one of which was blood sausage and the other I’m not sure were just as wonderful and different. To finish off the meat portion of the meal were three wonderfully tender slices of pork. A large plump grilled tomato seared just right provided a wonderful transition to the eggs, mushrooms, potatoes and beans. The beans sauce was not to be out done by the most wonderful sausages. The were in competition for flavor first prize as were the mushrooms in a dark rich sauce. I resigned to the fact that I was not going to finish this plate in one sitting, and that gave me even more pleasure in looking forward to leftovers for Monday.Leftovers: Two Poppers, and a slice of pork never tasted so good wormed up the next day. The first bite instantly sent hints of spices and beer. The texture again was perfect. We had a lovely conversation with our waitress and the chef Jimbo came out to chat with us. The owners are always there serving and making sure your experience is the best. Their Rocky Coast Brewing Co. beer made on site is a wonderful, drinkable and flavorful beer in many varieties, and there are new ones to try all the time. I have a new favorite place to eat and relax, oh and we have made many new friends there who enjoy Post Road Tavern as much as we do.

Excellent service, great beers on tap, and fabulous food. The chef even made an incredible sauce on request when they were out of HP Sauce. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Go and give it a try yourself!
