Not impressed. An obvious overpriced tourist trap. Why is it every restaurant we have been to in the area feels the need to reinvent NE clam chowder???? Too much of the herbs. The prices are ridiculous!!! The food not too good.

Excellent food. Friendly staff and locals. (We are from PA.) The Mac and cheese was decadent. The fish sandwich was lightly grilled, not deep fried…. Yum! They ran out of blueberry pie; hope to try that next time. Highly recommend.

Great local spot!. As a tourist in Portland, I was looking for something local and casual for dinner. This place had great homemade chowder and fish&chips. The staff were the best – super friendly, gave me a map and brochures to help me around town and advice on different activities. The live music was also great, the singer was really friendly and took requests. Would definitely recommend this spot if you are visiting Portland!

Sadly disappointed. We were disappointed by Andy’s pub. They did have some nice local beers on tap, and the live music was fantastic. The food, however, was…disappointing is the best word to describe it. It wasn’t bad, it was just disappointing. I was very excited to have the fried oysters, but they were mushy and the breading was soggy when they came out. My burger (I was so in the mood for a burger!) was overcooked and tough, and it was obviously a from-the-freezer patty.I’d go back there for beer and french fries, but not dinner.

Excellent and FUN!. Andy’s Pub in the Old Port would be easy to overlook, and it’s a little hard to spot, but it’s great food and great fun. Wonderful seafood dishes (we were there for lunch) and a fun, friendly group of locals. Isn’t that how you identify a super restaurant, by Looking for where the locals eat? Try it. It’s down close to where the cruise ships dock.
