Best martini in Portland? Can’t argue with that. Stopped into this basement bar before a Saturday dinner reservation a couple of weeks ago. My wife and I were looing for a great martini, and a google search seemed to point us to the Armory. Was it great? Absolutely. We ordered slightly-dirty grey goose, and the bartender executed perfectly. The drinks were ICE cold, but with no ice floating in the drink (ok maybe a chip – but that’s it). Just the right touch of olive juice, without being overwhelming. This place will be on our short-list for the next time we’re in Portland!
Top shelf. If my wife and friends lose track of me in the Old Port the know they’ll find me at The Armory. It is by far the best lounge in Maine Barr None. I’ve never eaten there (We eat in the Milk Room upstairs – again Top Shelf) but the furniture in comfortable, the atmosphere perfect and the decor outstanding. This place makes you feel like your in your own livingroom drinking with friends. It is a 10 out of 10 for me.

Portlands best kept secret. Drinks are fantastic, atmosphere is neat and service is friendly. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for relaxed sophistication
