We have been here about 10 times in the past year. We have never had a bad meal and all of the waitstaff work together to make all the tables happy. It is in the worst neighborhood in Portland, but the restaurant is gorgeous and the food is delicious. I love this place
Gem. Stopped here a few weeks ago on the way North. The location seemed a bit odd, but the service and food were fabulous. The wine list was reasonably equipped but a little pricey. Portland has quite a few excellent dining options – Back Bay Grill is worth a visit.
Reliably Great!. My wife and I regularly choose Back Bay Grill as our anniversary dinner spot and always leave fully satisfied and full of another year’s worth of wonderful memories. BBG is full of old-world class, offers modern high-quality cuisine and boasts a great selection of wine and cocktails – not to mention an excellent dessert selection. We’ll be back for many years to come. Thanks BBG!
My BF and I went there for our 1 year anniversary.. and we were treated like royalty. I LOVE the Back Bay Grill and reccomend it to everyone! My bf gets annoyed with me because I always rave about it!!unfortunately, we are on a tight budget and cant dine there often but i cant WAIT to get back!
Rockyroad. One of Portland’s finest for special occasions. Never been disappointed. Go there for 50th,80th,90th, birthdays , etc.. Service is stellar , waitress never wrote down anything for party of 8 , all came out perfect .
Best in Maine. This was the best food and service I’ve found in Maine. Best to dine early or get stuck in crowds unless that’s what you like.
Affordable Elegance. Larry Mathews is a gentleman, at least his food represents him this way…I have had the fortunate ability to be in a kitchen with him for a wine dinner, some years ago at Uffa…and he has food etiquette, not to mention a way with the foie gras…YUM!My favorite spot is the bar…Claire rocks! A must have, the truffled popcorn…Royal treatment here no matter who you are or what you are wearing..my kind of place!!!
