My wife and I are in Portland for a few days and thought a dumpling house sounded fun and it was awesome! The staff was friendly and super helpful and the food was great in particular the pork buns and the bulgogi beef dumplings were incredible!
Dumplings to die for ! This place surpassed all expectations their dumplings were unique and tasted great! From the moment you walk in you know you will be in for a true treat! An intimate atmosphere, along with a great tea menu. Oh, an don’t forget to order the scorpion bowl, but only if you have help
All I can say is WOW! One my favorite spots in the west end. Outstanding drink menu, an that’s just the beginning. The dumplings are amazing! You can’t go wrong with any selection. A true Gem in Portland!
Fun and fresh. Bao Bao easily met our expectations. It’s small and trendy like so many new places. The service was a bit slow, likely due to every table and chair being filled and dumplings streaming from the kitchen a decent clip. The Spicy Pig’s Ear was good, but a tad adventitious for some? We tried the Shumai (excellent!), pork and cabbage, chicken cashew and beef with yellow curry. All were fresh tasting and very flavorful. With 6 dumplings per plate we thought the meal was well worth it. Can’t wait to try some more next time.
