We left disappointed. Too many negatives. We won’t be back anytime soon.. Our family ate here recently. Thru the front door, to the right is the bar, the other side (to the left) is a more formal sit down dining room. The bar was packed, so we opted for the somewhat quieter dining room. Initially, we liked the place. Nice atmosphere, deco, lighting, etc. There is a huge hole in the wall which allows you to watch the cooks prepare the meals. But then we began to notice some issues. There are so many I have to list them out.1. Our waiter/service was not very good. The place was somewhat busy; still he rarely checked on us. He seemed to be in outer space. We had to flag him down just to get water refills – a real turn off.2. The meal took forever to reach our table. There was an unusual wait just to place our order (roughly a half hour), and then we waited almost another full hour to get our meals. (If you are wondering, there were only 5 of us. And the dining room was not that busy.)3. The food was nothing special. Our salads did not have fresh lettuce and they were bland. I ordered the crab stuffed baked haddock – it was overcooked, and the mashed potatoes were cold. Others at our table experienced similar issues. None of us enjoyed our meal. Portions were on the small side.4. Prices – in my opinion, too high. Especially when you consider the other factors above. The haddock I ordered was $20. Had it been properly cooked, and maybe a slightly larger portion, then I would say it would have been worth the money. Nearly all of the dinner entrees ranged from $15-$20.5. The dining chairs were not very comfortable – not much padding. We had problems with this, especially after waiting so long for the food to arrive. We had been told this place was excellent – but as shown above our experience was just the opposite. I certainly don’t recommend this place, and have no plans to return anytime soon.
Disrespectful Waitress. This Is my first time at this restaurant. Came out very quickly. .. seems good on the surface…but all the food is lukewarm, bad start. Another 20 minutes for my draft beer, wanting to walk out I recollect my self and order an entre. In the mean time, the Bruins game (only good thing in the bar) gets changed to an out of market game… as if any patron cares. Room goes quiet except pool table… my half cool half warm salad come brown lettuce proudly at the top. Gross… entree come deep fried parmigiano on cold al dente rigitoni… I wonder if any of my food was made today? The waitress seem to only have a few tables and took 15 minutes to do anything I.e. getting a box for leftovers
