My friend and I went here for lunch and I was very pleased! he had a wonderful pear and Gorgonzola salad and I had a Lobster roll. The lobster roll was great and my friend loved the salad. The view of the bay is wonderful and they have lots of seating near a window. I would love to come back and try this place for dinner sometime! Parking can be a pain, but it is free as long as you remember to get the ships purser to validate your parking ticket! theglobetrotterfoodie.wordpress.com
Went to Portland on a whim, we tried to go to another place for lunch but the line was long. We went to DiMillos. We still had a wait but were able to get room at the bar. My son had the fiery calamari burger, he said it was the best burger he ever had. My wife had a lobster salad which was good, my lobster Mac was good not the best I ever had but was tasty. I am allergic but the rest of our party had the mussels appetizer and said it was good. Service was friendly, a good choice if you want to avoid the crush.
I got the Fried food platter. It was a greasy mess. Hard to tell one item from another. One of us got the seafood alfredo which had very little seafood. The crab risotto was pasty. For stiff prices, we were disappointed.
Great scenic spot in Portland. Many locals celebrate special occasions here. The menu is small and mostly seafood. The food is expensive and a little overpriced. The seafood is fresh and they seem to pack in people. They offer both reservations and walk-in service.
One of the first places I was told to try when visiting Portland was dimillos. Although this place is not setting the world on fire with culinary creativity, you’re on a a boat with great views which is awesome. The decor is a little out dated but the food was over all very good. Would definitely return for their lobster mac and cheese and their pecan crusted haddock!
Been here in March 2014 during one of my business trips to Portland. The first idea of floating resto itself caught my attention. The ambience and food was just as if I am on a ship. I ordered shrimps and my colleagues asked for lobsters. It was the first time I was trying my hands at eating shrimps but loved the food and drinks. It was a chilly winter night and the surroundings too were breath taking.
Second time I ate here (from out of town) and it was amazing again. Lazy lobster was a good portion and delish! The bartender was super nice and helpful. Explained all the specials. Wish I would have came here for lunch too instead of J’s next door which was awful. Also very cool atmosphere.
