One of the best meals I have ever eaten. Had the scallop appetizer, lamb dinner and baklava. I have never enjoyed Greek wines, but the wines our server paired with my meal were wonderful. The only negatives were the Greek coffee, small wine portions and high cost for quantity of food. Overall, a restaurant definitely worth going to again but probably only for special occasions. With the mandatory 20% tip for parties of 6 or more the cost for 3 of us was $228.
One of the best in Portland. I went to Emilitsa the other day and had a wonderful meal. The taste from the kitchen was a lovely yellow lentil puree similar to a hummus smothered in a delicious olive oil with some crispy toasts. We shared an appetizer of scallops with an ouzo cream sauce, which was fabulous The scallops were sweet and cooked perfectly and the feta in the dish was very creamy and luscious. Our entrees were the lamb chops and the duck breast, both of which were cooked to perfection. We finished with a baklava and a Greek coffee, which were a perfect match and a great end to the meal. So no complaints with the food. Also a nice atmosphere, good service, and plenty of light, though a little bit of a tight squeeze with the neighboring tables. Would definitely go back; it’s pricey but worth it!
Definitely one of the best places in Portland. Mouth-watering appetizers and mains with a lot of thought and care put into the preparation. The short ribs were to die for. Nice atmosphere, although a little tight. Definitely recommended for a special evening. Not ideal for large groups.
I can’t prove this but we feel that we were denied seating because we have a 5 yr old with us. The hostess said she could seat us by pushing two tables together for our party of 5. Then the manager came out and said there weren’t any tables available. I can pick up on people’s vibes easily and it was very shady. Their loss. They lost out on a few hundred dollars.
Amazing food and very nice waitstaff. We go here in special occasions and are never disappointed.
