Great food better people. I love the food especially the fries! But even more important is when we called to make an order for our friends who have been staying in Portland @ Maine Med with their little son they donated a very generous gift card to the family. THANK YOU 5 GUYS!!!!!
Awesome, tasty, surprisingly convenient. I’d been looking forward to going to Five Guys for some time, and when I discovered tonight that I could place orders online, I finally decided to go for it. I got a cheeseburger all the way. Great combination of flavors – a really well balanced burger. I’m sold. The bun was a little soggy, but it was a good 15 minutes before I made it back home so this may have been a factor. I would have liked to option for something other than American cheese (seriously, with the lovely grilled onions and mushrooms, swiss would have brought this burger over the top) but overall it was excellent. I’m not entirely sold on the cajun fries. They seem over spiced – not that they are too hot but that there is too much of the spice mixture overall. I don’t tend to eat my fries with ketchup, but I imagine that this would solve the problem. The biggest problem that I had was that this is a gorgeous Friday night in the Old Port, and parking seemed impossible. I finally gave up and parked in the garage which is conveniently located over the restaraunt. I was prepare to pay for this – it was worth it to me to not have to circle the block one more time. Heck, my bank even has an ATM attached to the building. I was very pleasantly surprised when the parking attendant gave me my money back. The garage has a 10 minute grace period! Suddenly the location seems a lot better.
Parking. I’ve been three times for pick up. Twice I was able to park right across thestreet. The third time right around the corner. Easy.
Hype for burger, try the fries!. I am a burger guy, through and through. It was solid, and tasty. However, the fries were far superior. Well done.
Beware. The burger was absolutely delicious BUT and this is a big but; i used a credit card and started having fraudulent use activity on my card immediatey after that. Just sayin’………….and no, I haven’t found out yet if it was from there but ‘all signs point to yes’.
Love the burgers but okay fries.. The burgers here are soooo awesome, just talking about it now makes my mouth water. The fries… are just okay. I love that you can add extras to the burger without having to pay extra. The location is a bit of pain for patrons that need to just do a quick pick up due to parking, but great for those who are on foot. Based on the half a dozen times I’ve been there, the service has always been good.
Good burgers, overrated fries. I went here once before in Allentown, PA and found it expensive for the quality.Tried again .. got a double bacon cheeseburger the works with BBQ and Hot sauce. Delicious, enormous burger.Tried the cajun fries and was very, very underwhelmed.I think they need to be thinner cut.Nice option for the Old Port to get a fast, delicious burger, but could use crisper fries.Edmund
