When Ginza Town first opened I felt they were a nice alternative to the higher priced, more trendy Japanese restaurants located downtown given the fact they were in a mall strip mall on outer Forest Avenue. Then, their prices were reasonable, however I dined there for the second time last month noticing their prices had increased and I wondered why. Still, I’d give Ginza Town an okay rating as their sushi is fresh, well made and appetizing. Typically, Giza Town is pretty quiet and I’ve always had decent service. Give them a try and decide for yourself.
Nasty.. Went on a Friday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant, which should have been a serious warning right there. The serving area looked cluttered and dirty. When we received our food, there were large caterpillars still on the vegetables.Just nasty!

At first we were excited to have found a sushi place outside of downtown for those nights that we don’t want to brave Old Port parking. The interior of the restaurant made me a little nervous, but we always got take out so I overlooked it. They have a reasonable vegetarian selection and the first couple times the food was good, but nothing was overwhelmingly amazing about it. Well, this last time we ordered, we both spent the next day with some unfortunate side effects. While it might have been a freak occurrence, my boyfriend only had veggie rolls & tempura, so it’s safe to assume it wasn’t just the fish. We probably won’t be back anytime soon, but it’s hard to give up convenience.
