My second visit to this gem and I didn’t think it was possible but the food tasted even better! My first visit here was with Colin A.g, and it was great but we are inside at the bar due to the wait to be seated. On this visit we ate on the back patio and it was so much better! Less crowded, relaxing, cute and inviting! The food-Bbq pulled pork Eggs Benedict, Waffle, and Eggs- were amazing. Don’t let the wait intimidate you, this place is worth the wait!
Hot Suppa was a great North Eastern breakfast spot in Portland! I am from Alabama and had never tried corned beef hash before. It was very different from what I am used to down south BUT was still delicious! Highly recommend giving this restaurant a shot! You will not be disappointed.
Love love love this place! My favorite place to get breakfast in Portland! Great grits, sauted spinach, fried green tomatoes. come here frequently and have never been disappointed
We went right as Hot Suppa! opened its doors at 7am, so there was no wait. We got a side of the corned beef hash, canadian bacon eggs benedict, and a make-your-own-omelette. Everything was outstanding, especially the hash browns. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I do wish there were more potatoes in the corned beef hash though. Otherwise, great meal! jennifshin.com
Watch out if you park behind Hot Suppa, you’ll get in trouble with a parking Nazi. Drop your guests to sign in (half hour wait on a Saturday around 0930, then find some on street parking (they didn’t take reservations). That said, yum! We had the fried green tomato eggs Benedict with grits and the corned beef hash with the hash browns. This was not a potato overload, as the hash was mainly corned beef and a little carrot and potato, very nice. The hash browns had a large amount of the crispy brown parts; also great. However IMHO the clear winner was my moms fried green tomato eggs Benedict . Very loud, and few booths and tables, but worth it
Great visit!. My food was excellent, my dinner companions all raved about theirs as well. I will definitely be back. Amybeth Hurst, Portland.
Our favorite brunch spot.. Our new Portland brunch go-to; it’s adorable, colorful, bright, and cozy. The staff is always super sweet and the food is delicious with good portions. I always get the fried green tomato eggs benedict, but I hear the canadian bacon one is delicious as well. They give you three slices of fried green tomatoes instead of two, I don’t know why but this small bonus makes me so excited when I see my plate. Be prepared to be full, you get a pretty hefty serving of hash-browns and fruit on the side. Sometimes there can be a long wait but it’s totally worth it! And for those who are first-timers, you pay at the bar.
