Great bakery!. My wife and I picked up a few things from the bakery en route to Acadia National Park. There were plenty of options to choose from, especially given that my wife is vegan and was trying to avoid gluten.We got a vegan peanut butter granola bar (pictured) and picked up 2 treats from the Bomb Diggity Bakery. The granola bar served as perfect fuel for a hike later in the day, and the treats were delicious.The menu for the cafe looked pretty good as well, but we didn’t have time to eat there.
Sprouts is awesome…Bomb Diggity, not so much. Sprouts is awesome. I’m vegan and they actually have some great options, unlike a lot of other places in the area. They don’t just carry the standard hummus plate, grilled veggies, salad options – they’ve got a twist on a BLT (the VLT), a rockin hummus sandwich and always have great specials. I’ve tried the vegan baked goods from Bomb Diggity and they just give vegan baking a really bad rap. They’re dry, and the most recent cookie I tried tasted like a cross between a hippie’s granola bar and bird suet. Love their concept and the work they do, but I think it would behoove Sprouts to partner with a bakery that has higher standards.
