Worse Thai food EVER. I love thai food and use to eat it at least once a week when I had access to the best Thai restaurant in Fife, Washington. But when I walked out of Seng Chai because the Phad See Ewe tasted like cleansing fluid was dumped on it, I became quite disillusioned about Thai food in Maine.
Very flavorful and well seasoned cuisine. Very nice presentation and generous portions. All around a delicious and unusual meal, highly reccommened if you enjoy something new and different. Price is very reasonable.
Fabulous food!. Seng Chai Thai has everything anyone could want in a restaurant. The owner is a delight to talk with and makes the dining experience a memorable one. She definitely knows her way around a kitchen and has crafted original recipes that are surely among the best Thai dishes I have ever tested. And for the health conscious, all the dishes are made without MSG and there are a staggering number of healthy and tasty options on the menu. Visit Seng Chai if you want some incredible Thai food in a nice atmosphere with great service at affordable prices.
Best Thai Food in Portland. We love Thai food but find most Thai restaurants in Portland serve food that is much too sweet and lacking in fresh ingredients, with service that is acceptable at best. Seng Chai is completely different. The food is not too sweet, bursting with glorious fresh vegetables, and as spicy (or not) as you like it. Low fat too! Everyone from the owner down really tries to ensure that everything about your experience at Seng Chai is wonderful, and certainly they have succeeded in our case. It’s the best Thai place in Portland, and prices are very reasonable.
Best Thai in Portland!. Great menu with plenty of options, including a surprising amount of vegetarian dishes. I like that they do not use MSG, as well. Staff and service are friendly and prompt. The menu’s pricing is quite affordable and you get a good deal of food. I’ve been to nearly all the Thai places in Portland and now thing is the only one I’ll eat at. Five Stars!
Great food at a great value. Try their larb or their yellow curry. You won’t regret it.
