Horrible!. I just came home from Corner Room. I was looking forward to going there all week. Despite making a reservation 7-days ago requesting a table, they sat my wife & I at the bar, on stools that made our legs numb. They gave my wife the wrong cocktail and brought food out to us that was meant for another table. …after 2 switches and some confusion, they brought us what we ordered. The food tasted like something from the kitchen of Olive Garden, only three times the price. I could have saved $120 and boiled some boxed pasta from Hannaford.Absolutely awful! I will not go back & urge you to avoid this restaurant.
We were told by a local to try this restaurant. We walked in at 5:30 and only 4 tables were full. I thought, oh good we will get seated immediately. The hostess asked us if we had a reservation and I said no. She then preceded to tell me there are no open tables till 8:30. I was so confused. She said we could sit at the bar or at the counters they have. She really made us feel like we were unwelcome. The food was fine…a little over-priced. As we were leaving I was still confused as to why we couldn’t have a table. They still had 3 open.
Lunch. A friend and I stopped in for lunch today..we did not want a breakfast so ordered a chicken panino and a short rib panino. There was barely any filling in either sandwich and they were very bland..one of the worst sandwiches we have ever had! The very lovely looking waitress we had was as good a waitstaff as the sandwich!
Automatic tip on Party over 4. Went here a few months ago with a group of 6 people. The service was slow. It was hard to get a refill on my cocktail. The food was really good (but pricey!!). After a 3 hour dinner the bill comes and there’s a automatic 20% gratuity – not even 18%, but 20!!
GOUGED at Lunch. I just had lunch there about one hour ago. Food was delicious, but I am feeling seriously chiseled by the price. I was shocked. I had two pork stuffed Cannellonis (small – lunch size) and was charged $20 for this meal! $20 for a lunch portion. Partly my fault as I did not ask about prices when the waiter recited the specials. I did question him when the bill came to see if it was a mistake. He advised me the bill was correct. This was going to be a great go to spot, but I doubt I will return. Bummed out.
