Exceptional food. I had the salmon special while others in my party ordered steak from the menu and all was fresh, flavorful and more than enough food. A tip I learned is to ask for half the amount of fries they normally serve. Apparently it’s an obscene amount. If I lived here, I would frequent the The Grill room to try a variety of items. Our sever was very knowledgeable about all the specials and very attentive.

I have had good meals here, but definitely hit or miss. My biggest complaint would be lay off the salt. I could almost watch the meat shrink into jerky. You’ll be better off picking another restaurant in Portland that has steak on the menu.

Great menu sloppy execution. Great restaurant. Menu is very well put together although the owner should hire people who can produce the same quality that he would. Presentation was sloppy although the flavors were nice. Scallop with swiss chard and mushroom risotto was not up to the standard that we would have expected. The risotto was completely overdone , bland and mushy more like a paste. Foie gras starter was was delicious but looked very messy on the plate. The burger meat was overground but tasted good. Overall the restaurant was very nice but I feel as though they could do much better considering the price point and who they are selling to. There were many negatives and positives I am adding this review only to give the staff and owner my honest opinion.

Food was good. But, the waitress threw away our leftovers that we asked to take home. She had that problem resolved for us with another in about 10 minutes. They cooked another serving. The place was really dark and really loud.

Get the scallops, they are amazing! Great salmon less than average steak. Well prepared entrees.

Grill Room. Great food on the pricey side but that is what you expect when you go there. Have been here many times for just drinks and appetizers or a full meal. Dinner can get expensive here but it’s worth the money if you want some good steak. I always get the filet or sirloin with the mashed potatoes. The only thing I did not like was the mushroom risotto, too much cream and way too heavy. I also had the salmon once and way too raw for me. I did have a negative experience with service once. We were finishing up our drinks that were almost gone and had already paid the bill. The manager (which i found out later to be the owner) came up to us and asked us to finish up because others were waiting. We literally each had a few sips left and hurried for no reason. I was a bit sore about that, I did not go back for about a year. But overall great food if you stick to steak and the servers are very knowledgeable with the food and wine selection.

Good food, we liked the deserts and ambience. The Ruby Slipper was a nice cocktail to start things off. Tenderloin overlooked, but delicious, pork chop fantastic . Potato thing spicy
