Best pecan pie I have ever had, this coming from a southerner who grew up making them. Pie crust is impeccable. So so happy its only a few blocks away.
Better Whoopie Pies Elsewhere. We stopped in here for some Whoopie Pies because they’re suppose to be some of the best ones in Maine.They’re just okay. The cream in the middle wasn’t even spread around out to the edges of the pies. It was like someone hurredly squeezed some on there, put the whoopie pies together, and then moved on to the next chore. No attention to detail at all. The cake part of the whoopie pie was not very pleasant. I had a much better one at the Red Barn in Augusta and there it is only an afterthought to their regular menu.My wife got some of their seasonal pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and said they were dry.Their traditional baked pies looked and smelled amazing, but I’d avoid the whoopie pies.
Great pies! Whenever I’m back in Maine I get a sour cherry pie if they have them (they don’t always). Other pies are very good as well.
Good Cake. Got a cake for my Boss’s Birthday last weekend, he and my whole office staff loved it, the frosting was so good as the sweetness in it was the right amount.
