No flavor, expensive. I wanted to love this place, but it just wasn’t very tasty. The reason for this review is to urge people toward saigon, or tanh tanh on forest ave. I ordered the seafood with chinese broccoli. The chinese broccoli was so hard to chew most of it was spit out into a napkin. Unfortunately, same goes for the squid, which was boingy and leather hard, the scallops, which were stringy, and the mussels, which were also spit into the napkin due to unchewable texture. I asked for noodles on the side and got rice so I politely asked for the noodles, and the food runner just looked at me like she was really mad and having a bad night, which I felt bad about… but come on, don’t take it out on me. I even pretended to like my food so she wouldn’t be pissed off. My friend got the bun with vietnemese ham. it did not come with herbs, just lettuce and shredded carrots, and a small fish cause. She also complained of flavor lacking. The ham balls tasted like food poisoning waiting to happen… an off meat flavor. Good news is the Mai thais were DELICIOUS! they had a nice froth on top that was lovely. meal total was 65.

Veranda Noodle Bar is easily one of the best and healthiest options for dining in the East Deering area. The staff is very efficent, meals never take more than 20 mins. Everything is fresh and homemade, the taste will tell you this. A few items I really enjoy are the Chow Foon, thick noodles with vegetables and tofu, and the Vermicelli options such as steak or the delicious spring roll. Just order V2 or V3 for a fresh and wholesome meal that will make you want to come back for more.

Purchased the pho ga. Delicious, wonderfully fresh, good pricing and packed very well for take out order.

Poor Service…Tasty Food. We called ahead to ask them if they could accomodate a large party (11), and they told us they could. However, when we got their either they were intentionally ignoring us, or they were incompetent.Since it was our first time at the Veranda Noodle Bar, we really had to check out the menu. We had heard a lot of good reviews, and were looking forward to eating there. Once we ordered, it took a LONG time to get our appetizers (20-30 min), and they didn’t bring us plates. We weren’t served any drinks until right before the apps came, and they didn’t even bring us enough glasses (no hot tea though!). After we asked, they brought us more glasses of water, but they didn’t take away our empty appetizer serving plates.Eventually they served us our entrees (beef with brown sauce, chicken with brown sauce, golden duck, and three different soups), again without plates! We asked for plates. The waitress brought us plates, but didn’t bother to bring us enough. Having to repeatedly ask for the things you need to eat your meal really ruins the whole dining out experience. It was a real disappointment.

Amazing!!! Service was good… Curry was better! We loved the environment and my husband loved the duck soup..

My tip, get the beef vermicelli. It is by far one of my favorite foods and I eat it probably twice a week. Everything else is good but the beef is the best I’ve ever had!

Hmmm. After a day of traveling, my friend and I decided we wanted to grab a big bowl of pho and decided to try something other than our usual spot Thanh Thanh. Well, the service was lacking…we didn’t get the complimentary hot tea that everyone else got and my bowl of pho came out luke warm. The flavor was lacking and didn’t have the spark to it like a good bowl of pho should. I do however, recommend their thai food. As for pho, I will stick to my usual spot.
