When you find yourself with an afternoon off and hungry on a cold, grey day that doesn’t know if it wants to be winter or spring – I have the answer for you…Veranda Noodle House. Get a HUGE bowl of the Pho (I happened to get the one with minced pork and a side of spicy chili sauce). I say ‘huge’ because you don’t have a choice – that’s how the order arrives 🙂 This rivals Nana’s matzoh ball soup if you are – or have a – cold. You can adjust the spice to your liking (I like mine a bit on the lip-numbing side). Add in the fresh lemongrass, Thai basil & crunchy soy beans then a squeeze of lime and it’s comfort in a bowl. Don’t forget an order of Thai iced tea to cool you down. I’m going home to take a nap now 😉
