Unforgettable takeout. Ordered delivery and was not impressed. Delivery arrived on time but no utensils chopsticks or extra condiments as requested. Veranda dumplings were alright , Tom Yum soup was actually quite good. Nam Prik Pao beef though was a disappointment. Thought I would try something unique, should have went with another choice.Being from out of town new restaurants are always a gamble.

Hot and Cold. We order alot from work for lunch and get the lunch special. There is one chef (I wish I knew which one it was so I could only order from here when he was cooking) who makes the best Pad Thai I have ever had ( I used to work at a Thai Restaurant so am quite versed). This chef’s Pad Thai has a smokey flavor to it and has just the right amount of moisture. One thing I noticed is that they send this soup with the lunch specials sometimes that is similar to a Chinese Hot and Sour soup and it is so delicious but they do not carry it on their menu so customers are unable to buy it. Also, unfortunately when I have ordered the Pad Thai other times when that chef did not make it, it was just ok and unfortunately, it was during dinner when I actually paid a few dollars more for it and was trying to impress a new customer with the previously wonderful Pad Thai I had thought I had discovered. In other words, it’s a crap shoot. I did bring my concerns to the manager hoping to find out who was making my delicious Pad Thai so I could only spend my money there when he was working, but unfortunately, he was unwilling to work with me on this and simply told me that every dish was made the same.

It was indeed empty but the staff made me feel like I was immersed in Thai culture without the twenty hour flight. I also like that instead of littering the menu with too many options the noodle bar is separate. The soup is very neutral which is a great start for te palate. The appetizer was a welcome burst of flavor. A delicate sweet sauce complimented by a spicy chicken curry wrapped in a fried egg wrap. I strongly reccomend a Thai iced tea one of the best I’ve had. The orange chicken is a very generous portion with more than enough. The sauce was very good and had enough citrus to be flavorful but not overpowering. The chicken was tender but not overcooked. The vegetables are cooked to perfection and the flavors used blend perfectly. Overall an excellant meal at more than excellant prices.

Better than the rest. When I went to pick up my first take away order the inside was empty save for a few customers waiting for take away as well. This didn’t worry me since the place was all business and work. The room was filled with smoke from a hot wok and my drunken noodles had a lovely wok char and complexity with a light sauce unknown to other establishments.Maybe it’s easy to sell bad Asian cuisine to Americans but good food is good food and Veranda has something on the competition. Friendly service too!

Best Thai Food Ever. I have yet to find a better Thai restaurant, The lunch special is very cheap and includes an entre, soup and appetizer of the day. I love Veranda and go there all the time!!!
