  Excellent Italian Fare. Because of the impending blizzard on Valentine’s Day, we decided to do lunch instead and luckily for us, Vignola Cinque Terre was open for a special lunch. The menu was a variation on their dinner menu. We started with a tasty cheese board and moved to the zuppe de pesce which my husband devoured with relish. So good. The butternut squash soup was luxurious. The panini with homemade potato crisps was perfect. The valentine dessert was a refreshingly sweet combination of lemon pound cake and dense homemade ice cream. All dishes were meticulously prepared and nicely presented. Kudos to the chefs. The service was excellent as well. We will definitely return for dinner!

  Still hungry. I am probably not the best critic of Vignola, as I went there only once for lunch with my son. The food was ok, but so spartan that I stopped at Amato’s on my way home and got an italian sandwich. It was PRICEY and not much to eat. Was disappointed. Maybe dinner is better.

  My fianc and I went there for a birthday dinner and it was amazing. The menu has so many offerings that everyone will find something they like. And by the way, the cheese list is the best in Portland, hands down! Matt was a very knowledgeable and extremely attentive server. We can’t wait to go back.
