Not a Fan. I went to Walter’s with my family. Not impressed. The appetizers weren’t very good. they were bland and tasteless with the exception of the Asian ravioli which was good. The salads were TERRIBLE! I could’ve made a better salad with the ingredients in my house. The entrees were alright but nothing special. For the prices here you would assume the food would be better quality. Won’t be returning.
Always top quality. Walter’s is always a top quality experience. Fresh ingredients, quality food, great atmosphere, friendly and professional service.
Terrific from start to finish. Lobster stew was delicious. Lobster gnocci was great as well. Dan provided some of the best service I have ever witnessed! This is a Portland gem.
Must try: Crispy Chicken Asian Raviolis
Voodoo Stew. If they have this on the menu, order it. Delicious. Wait staff is kind of hit or miss. Like the new place it looks like Boston
So Good. I went to Walter’s a couple weeks ago and it was fabulous. When we went in for our 8:00 reservation they were completely packed and our table was not yet ready, so the hostess offered to buy us a drink and we sat at the bar and waited for our table. We waited for about 30 minutes (if there hadn’t been a drink offered, I may have complained) and were seated at a cozy table. We ordered the calamari (one of my most favorites ever) and my boyfriend ordered the sirloin and I had the scallops. The sirloin was delicious and a large portion. The scallops were also delicious but my only complaint is that they only gave me three average-sized scallops. Thank goodness we’d gotten an appetizer because otherwise I would have been a little disappointed. All-around though Walter’s is a great atmosphere, great service, and amazing food (although if you’re hungry … get the sirloin!)
Had a fabulous meal and experience. I travel on business so often sit at the bar to eat. It is very comfortable and the wait staff make singles feel welcome. The ahi tuna was the best I have ever had. The combination of rate ahi, lucious mash and flavorful slaw was amazing. Started with the roasted beets and feta which is a side dish. Highly recommend for an enjoyable evening
