Terrible Steak Sandwich. In the 35+ years that we have lived in South Portland, we have had pizza and sandwiches from Pizza Joint many, many times. Tonight’s sandwich was terrible – the steak was dry and warm when I picked it up but cold by the time I got it home and we live less than 10 minutes away, the cheese was not melted and the peppers and mushrooms were cold and crunchy – raw? I waited on hold for 7 minutes for someone to take my order, I ordered a large sandwich, the guy on the phone wrote small but when I heard the cost I knew he had it wrong and repeated again that I wanted a large sandwich. Of course I had to repeat again steak and provolone with mushrooms and peppers because he said ham and cheese. Perhaps this was a new hire, but isn’t training part of Pizza Joint’s hiring process??? Obviously not a sufficient amount. I’ll be looking for a new sandwich place although I’ll probably give them another chance at some point.

They load a whole roni stick on their pepperoni pizza’s…. Find someone else who does this, that’s why the price is high. 60% provolone, 40% mozzarella. Cost of dairy is up…
Very expensive!! I am from New Jersey and I stopped to get a pizza and a case of beer they said they wouldn’t serve me because I was from out of state. What?!? And they were extremely rude about it!!!! Ever heard of customer service… They obviously haven’t!!

Best pizza in Maine. The only place to get true New England/NYC style pizza. Go nowhere else for outstanding pizza.
