Birthday dinner. Went to dinner with my family and had a wonderful birthday dinner…the food was excellent and the service was awesome…thank you ..we will be back for sure
Cheese enchiladas. My partner and I love TexMex, so we were excited to try the new Mexican restaurant, Buen Apetito, in Waterville. I am a native Texas from San Antonio, so I already know that I have high standards when it comes to Mexican food. My first test is always cheese enchiladas; they might have been good had they not been smothered in a most inappropriate tomato sauce. In my opinion, using Jack cheese did not help. (There really is such a thing as Mexican cheddar cheese, though I doubt that one could get it in Maine without great difficulty.) The beans and rice were very good, however. Several posted reviews say that the chicken flautas are excellent, so we’ll give them a try the next time we’re driving through Waterville. I agree that for Maine, the food is more authentic than most other restaurant we’ve tried in this state. I would give it three stars.
Fresh and Tasty. I was so impressed with the quality of the dishes. I had chili rellenos stuffed with cheese. These are baked, not fried. They come with a red sauce that I asked for on the side in case it was subpar,but it turned out to be tasty. Also, the complimentary tortilla chips come with three types of sauces. One is avacado based, one has a chipotle flavor and their version of salsa which I loved. I think it contained mango. Our server, Katy, was attentive and fun. Although the restaurant was crowded, we never felt rushed or underserved. I can’t wait to go back!
Fabulous!. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in Central Maine (give Cancun a wide berth and check this out instead). My family and I come here at least once a week. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the margaritas are killer!
In Waterville for a training and didn’t want chain food. They make things homemade!!!Vince small envirnoment.
