    though I would give the FOOD a 5+ star pretty much every time I have ever eaten there, which is probably literally 100+ times, I would give the service a 2.5-3. I was there Friday night, and they were busy but not MOBBED. We stood there for Literally 15 minutes without being acknowledged. The bartender was showing off pictures from her phone to clients at the bar, and everyone was running around tending to what they were. We finally were acknowledged by a waitress/host, but still not asked how many in our party or name for another 10min. We did finally give our name and the 4 behind us did as well. They ended up leaving because they were disgusted. We understand being busy, and not having tables. But to not even be acknowledged to find out how long and give our name, was not acceptable. And of course no apology was made whatsoever. This is typical of Buen Apetito. There have been MANY times things like this have happened to me, even with the OWNER in prior years. Food was awesome. As always Kim did a nice job, She’s not Too personable or chatty, she does her job makes sure we are all set and goes on to the next table. Very efficient.. I have had her 40+times probably and I have never had a problem. The cooks are fantastic. Always. Nobody compares to the food at Buen. But the initial service was beyond terrible. We would have also left if my date didn’t know how much I LOVE their food. But he was getting very ugly, as was I. Not impressed with that at all. I would rank them far worse if not for Kim and the cooks.

    Wow, what an amazingly bad experience!!!. We brought our visiting family to Buen Apetito for our last dinner together before my Brother and Sister and their spouces would leave to return to Florida and Cape Cod. This was a favorite restaurant of ours and were had looked forward to having our family enjoy a great Mexican meal – they love mexican food as do we and Buen Apetito was our Mwxican restaurant of choice. We arrived at the appointed reservation time of 6PM – all 7 of us. We were crammed into a long table – getting into the chairs was difficult at best and the folks sitting behind us had to pull in to allow us to be seated. At 7 pm, after watching several parties, that arrived 15 to 30 minutes after us, be seated, served and leave I asked why our food had not arrived yet – ‘they had a new cook and were having problems in the kitched’. We were assured it would be out shortly. One table had had 2 couples come and go while we waited for our food. That was irritating but when our food did finally arrive 3 of the 7 meals were inedible – one was a $20 rib eye steak – the steak was so burned it was impossible to cut it and it was stuck to the serving platter. Two Fajitas, one steak and one chicken had the meat burned beyond recognition and the vegetables were also burned – neither could be eaten. The remaining meals, which all had refried beans and rice, were so cold they were only partially eaten before they were just plain too cold to eat. The responce to our request to remove the food was that they had a new cook and they were not expecting such a large crowd. When we refused to ‘try again’ – we were not ready to wait another hour to find the same thing inedible food – they said we would not be charged for our 7 meals. We were not the only table that suffered from poor service – we saw at least 2 other tables complaining about something – one table of 4 had one person who got the wrong meal, not once but twice – by the time they got the correct meal the rest of the table was ready to leave so they packed up her meal ‘to go’.Needless to say we were embarrassed and very upset as it spoiled what was to be a festive evening of sharing good food and family relationships.
