We stopped at Mainely Brews after a long day of hiking Tumbledown mountain. Because of our situation, the visit was perfect. We got to sit outside on their patio during the evening, and the service was efficient. Their house beers are great, the porter is especially nice with the 6.2 abv. We all ordered burgers, and they came out huge. The battered fries are outstanding. It was a nice place with an easy going atmosphere.
Absolutely terrible!. I will never eat at this horrible excuse for a restaurant again. After entering the restaurant it is completely unclear if you should seat yourself, or wait to be seated. I was in a party of 4, and we waited over 30 minutes to even get our drink order taken, after deciding to seat ourselves. When we received our drinks about 20 minutes later, one had soap suds in it. The waitress apologized, replaced the drink, and took our food order. This normally wouldn’t be too big of an issue, but it just got worse from there. It took over 45 minutes for us to be served a simple order of fish and chips, a small pizza, and a salad. When we were finally served our order, the waitress forgot to give us silverware, and after multiple attempts at flagging down another waitress I had to get up from the table, and walk to a waitress at another table to get them. She says she’ll bring us silverware as soon as she takes their order, and we end up waiting another 10 minutes to actually be able to eat. By that time the food was all cold, and I was completely fed up. I would recommend that anyone avoid this restaurant as if it is the plague. Mediocre food, and the absolute worst service I’ve ever had.
The brews on tap are awesome and they actually carry a decent selection of scotch whisky, which is rare in Waterville Maine. The food is great too.

Great location and staff. Just love the place and the staff. Good food, good servicet, and a great place to chill out. If it looks like a pub, feels like a pub and taste like a pub, it must be a pub. And Mainlely Brews is just that, a pub. A place that makes you feel welcomed and comfortable.
Great menu. Good staff the weekly specials are my fave!
