  I am utterly disappointed.I have waited at least a year to post this review, thinking I would wait while the restaurant seemed to be in the midst of change.Pad Thai Too, on the KMD in Waterville, Maine, is not what it once was. It’s worse.I have been a regular customer of Pad Thai Too for 18 years. And I think I am done. I gave it about 18 months to see if it would change. I know all restaurants need to modernize and keep decor updated. But I abhor the minimalist black and white decor they put in place last year. I wrinkled my nose every time I walked in, but at least the food and the timing and delivery seemed on par.Tonight, 2/17/18 – the rest was destroyed.We ordered for pickup, like I have literally done 50 times before.I called in at 4:38pm. The restaurant OPENS at 4pm. I was told 45 minutes. Ok, no problem. Busy night. I had to wait 20 minutes more for my order after I arrived 45 minutes later.While I was waiting, there were a total of 9 tables in the restaurant. 9. Tables. I did a quick count. 27 people seated. 2 families waiting to be seated. The first family was told 15 minutes. The second family was told 30. The third family was told 45. 45 minutes for Waterville, Maine at 5:35pm? Are you kidding me? GET MORE TABLES! There was a nice, fake-fern edged seating area for 10 people, probably for pick-up orders? I looked at the space. They could tuck another 4-5 tables in that space and have NO WAITING SEATING.What is this? A deliberate effort to look exclusive? Were not in downtown Manhattan. Were in Waterville, Maine.8 years ago I could get takeout for me and my boys for $42. Tonight’s tab? $78 Really? Paying for all that exclusivity.We finally got home and unpacked food. My son had to DRAIN his take out to get rid of all the water and oil sitting at the bottom of his food. It was disgusting. We have NEVER seen food like this from pad Thai Too. In addition – in 16 years worth of ordering, his Pad Thai never came filled with mushrooms and peppers. He hates both. Must be a change of chef.I had to drain my Drunken noodle. Never in 18 years have I ever had to do this. It was SWIMMING in oil and sauce.I am sorry Pad Thai Too. I have been a customer of yours for a long time, and I am going to say good bye. The changes you have made are crap. Your new cook leaves less to be desired, and you can keep your nearly 100% inflation in prices and your lackluster, drab, depressing BLACK and white decor and 9 tables. I have no idea what marketing guru is leading you in your decisions, but they suck. You just lost a nearly 2-decades old customer. I am beyond upset.The owners are making horrible decisions. Fix it.

  Amazing!!. I grew up eating a lot of Thai food where I’m from and most places I order from just don’t equate to the quality I’m used to. This is the only place that makes Thai food the way it should taste. I love this place and their service!!
