Looks are deceiving. One of the nicest looking restaurants I’ve seen, but don’t eat the food. Disgusting! I ordered the sesame chicken and the second bite tasted funny and had an ammonia smell. We live near the restaurant and have tried it several times since it opened. The food has always been below average, but we have gone back thinking maybe they just had a bad day. This was the final straw. We will never go back. Worst Chinese food we have ever eaten.

The sushi was outstanding and very fresh. We had lunch so there wasn’t a wait to be seated. My son had the teriyaki chicken, which was a bit dry. I had the vegetable Lo mein and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken thai noodles and said it was very good. Only thing we didn’t like was the iced tea and hot tea. It tasted like it was made from the coffee maker. We both like tea and coffee, but not combined into the same beverage. We would definitely eat at East Restaurant again. Beautiful decor!

Great Chinese, but don’t get the Thai dishes. I’ve eaten at the East several times and am always satisfied with my meal. The pan fried dumplings are delicious to start, and the portions are generous. My boyfriend decided to try the Thai Drunken Noodle dish – to sum it up in a few words, it sucked! Not even close to being near an authentic druken dish, the sauce was horrible and the tofu soggy and limp. Just bad bad bad.

A great place to go if you can’t crack another… Eat another fried clam … or look at another lobster roll. I had the drunken seafood off their Thai menu. It was flavorful without being obnoxiously hot and the quality of the seafood is what you would expect of a restaurant in Maine.

Great Asian cuisine.. The decor is beautiful and the food is absolutely great. The price ranges from under 10 up to 50 depending on your preference of cuisine.I ordered beef chow fun and it is just great.I used to trek to boston for a great chow fun now I dont have to.
