I travel all over the country and try to eat at local eateries. Some are great some are no so great. Gehauf’s is mediocre. I ordered the ribs, came with slaw and baked beans and a roll. The beans were great slaw, ehh. The ribs baked and chewy, the roll, yum. The price, way too much for the price and the quality. 5$ for a side of fries? 9$ for a basket of fried mushrooms? Come on. Service was great. Really friendly. Will I give it another chance…….maybe.
Dining Experiences. We ate at Gehauf’s last week. The meat was not fresh. The chicken had been reheated. The crab cake was not fresh. I did have to order something else in place of the chicken. It was a deep fried platter. And that was good. The unfortunate thing was that this made the meal incredibly expensive. I was charged for the bad chicken which I would not touch. I would never go back.
