Not Again….. Some friends bought a groupon and we always like trying new places. The service was just not very good and the food wasn’t at all what we expected. Half of the food came out cold and the food tasted like they opened canned vegetables warmed them and threw them on pasta or the protein ordered. I think I could have made food better than that in 15 min at home and have it only cost me $5. Instead the food was cold, not seasoned, and definitely not worth the money.
No oven?!? Why???. Visited 49 West for the first time last Sunday for a quick brunch and opted for the quiche. I was horribly disappointed in the quality of the dish–looked and tasted like it had been reheated several times. Come to find out they don’t have an oven in the place so the quiche had in fact been microwaved! Where on earth did the quiche come from to begin with? If you don’t have an oven, maybe you shouldn’t serve food.
Good coffee, great bfast. I love to go here in the summer and sit outside and have coffee, waffles, and bagels with cream cheese and lox. the quiche is delicious too. they serve mimosas and bloddy marys too.
I love this place. The food, coffee and atmosphere are great. The service in the mornings can be a bit spotty, but the overall experience is excellent.
Fresh fast clean and excellent
Nice hangout, good desserts. I love to slip into this coffeehouse and relax. If you can get a window seat it’s a great place to spend the afternoon or evening and people-watch. Lot’s of people kind of park here with laptops nursing a beverage for hours. They have a good selection of wine and great tasting desserts.I’ve been here several times and had different friendly waitresses. They are very nice but none are really attentive. You usually have to chase them down for more of whatever you need and to get the check. The place is very laid-back and so are they.Live music acts are playing most nights.
