Horrible buffet. The seafood was overcooked, all fried and flavorless. Will never go back.
My wife found on a different rating site and showed a high rating. I had soup which was warm on the outside but cool in the middle followed by a poorly cooked crab cake, which got sent back and re-made with great crab it just wasn’t cooked properly. To top it off I had only order a single crab cake and they brought and billed me for a platter, with fries and bread getting tossed. Get a windo seat for a great view, the only highlight.
Super tiny table for four, got filled as soon as they brought out two appetizers and four beers. A dozen crabs and one entree totally covered the table. I had to demand a refund before they would move us to one of the many open larger tables. Food was tourist quality Chesapeake. Crabs were good, but it’s hard to do steamed crabs badly. The price was not great and the large crabs were on the small side, but again think Tourist not local Marylander. The crabcake was mediocre and not very big. All in all a good place for a tourist, not too impressive otherwise.
Not sold on the ribs!. A place right of shores should not be peddling ribs … their selection of seafood is well worth the stop and their selection is large so you can try it all.
Just ate there today. It is NOT anything worth trying. Ribs were very dry and did not have flavor. The restrooms looked like they had been flooded, paper all over the place, and my shoes literally stuck on the floor. They had a ton of workers sitting around in benches not working. Crab cake tasted like a mouth-full of mayonnaise. Don’t waste your time. My friends who got the buffet liked that but over all, over-rated and very dirty.
Hit or miss. For tourists.
Buddys. Have been there several times for the buffet; as with many buffets, if you pick and choose, you can put together a very good meal. Don’t know what they season their stuffed clams with, but they’re very good and spicy; even my non clam loving friends went back for seconds. Their buffet has a nice selection of seafood items, salads, etc., so everybody should be able to find something they enjoy. A nice place to go if you’re in the area.
