It was a last minute decision to eat here and I am glad we did. The lamb and filet mignon were perfect and service was amazing. You will spend a pretty penny and parking can be tough but I thought the trade-off was worth it.

This place, if you have some age on you and are from the Annapolis area, you may remember buying hamburgers or hotdogs from at the counter. 4 generations of the same family later and you can get some of the best steak and lamb in MD-DC area. Independents are always better than chains and this one is no exception. The food is exceptional. Our waiter, John, was very friendly, local and attentive. They were out of oysters (the one disappointment). Party of 6 for a birthday dinner (my 50th). The portions are quite generous. The petite filet mignon was 8 ounces (8!) and priced like a regular filet in any other top steak house. The regular filet is a 14 oz cut and was perfectly cooked. Two got lamb chops, one of them had never had lamb. And it was a fabulous place to have your first taste of lamb. They served it with a mint au jus, but eat it without. The flavor is great. The sauted spinach a la George was a little too lemony for my taste but very fresh. Great place for a special meal out with family or a business dinner.
