Only ok. Love the feel of the restaurant but the service was ok and the food was only ok. We were excited because it seemed like a foodie place but nothing was amazing
Came late Sunday morning, waited about 20 minutes. Service was mediocre at best. Had to ask for silverware after the appetizer came. Had to ask for water repeatedly. The pea cake/fried green tomato appetizer was wonderful, as was the one order (Eastern omelet) of five to be prepared correctly, although paired incorrectly with potatoes. The banana pancakes were thin and apparently banana free and the syrup provided only after request was not raspberry as advertised. The burger was overdone. Two omelets were incorrect and incorrectly paired. Replacements did not arrive until long after the original orders were consumed. To its credit, management comped the entire meal, but never got it exactly right. The final replacements had to be made to go. We might try it again, but will be in no hurry to do so.
Great food. Service was pretty awful my first time there with getting two orders wrong and the blackberry banana pancakes being plain. Manager comp’ed our meal which was the correct thing to do but still aggravating. Still the food was very good. Hopefully our experience was not the norm.
This is the last time I trust your outdated reviews.. I referenced your reviews and the owner made me eat my words. Group of 5 everything was awesome. Pan seared chicken, burger etc were great. You sink in this part of town if you have crappy plates, this place swims quite well
Still a favorite. We have been to Metropolitan many times for brunch, lunch, and a late night stop. I even hosted a last minute birthday party with 25 guests (and when I say last minute, I mean we showed up without any reservation). The service has always been outstanding. The servers have always been professional and friendly. Our food has always been delicious. Stop in for fantastic food, excellent adult beverages, and outstanding service.
We had breakfast here on 2 occasions and found everything to be very delicious. All seemed clean and the waitstaff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.
Slow – very slow. Waitress uninformed, food cold and order inaccurate. I would not recommend nor ever return.
