Known as the best restaurant in Maryland, Miss Shirley’s Cafe draws a line for their breakfast. They have an extensive menu with regional specialties highlighting the list. I had the southern slammer sandwich, which was made of fried green tomatoes, egg, and guacamole on rye bread. It was best paired with the grits, which was unbelievably creamy. The sandwich was completely filling and unique. Their French toast specialities looked fantastic, so I’ll have to try them on another visit! The service itself was fantastic. I had a wonderful server who was quick to tend to me. The food was made quickly to order, so I didn’t have to wait too long after sitting down. It’s the perfect place to grab breakfast with friends and family. The large booths and extensive restaurant are perfect for larger parties.
AMAZING!!!!!!!!. I’m addicted, a MUST GO!!!!!!!

Best place for breakfast in Annapolis…. Best place I have ever had breakfast… There sure is some good food up there
So fine. Stopped yesterday for the first time. I had the best breakfast/brunch of my life at age 54. Blown away by the food, and service. Had the poached eggs with crab cakes and green tomatoes, side of hash browns. Can’t think of anything that I would change.Price was on the high end but considering the food, well worth the price. Menu was creative and had many appealing offerings. Wife was also impressed with her choices. I would/will return.
Why, yes, I WOULD like a bloody bandage in my sandwich!. Had to change my initial, somewhat-hesitant thumbs up for Miss Shirley’s since a co-worker recently found a bloody bandage on her sandwich. (We work in the building.) She was offered a $100 gift certificate in apology. Um, gross. My previous expieriences here have been okay. The food is outrageoulsy overpriced and overdone. I do not find the menu exciting or innovative.I’m just as happy at a dirty diner knowing I’m going to get what I pay for. Hepatitis is expensive.
