Nice Evening at Paul’s. A place for locals to go have an enjoyable evening. Service was friendly, knowledge, and attentive without being overdone. Blackened scallops that were recommended were excellent as appetizers. Lamb kebobs and steak salad were great and our glasses of Laxas Alberino were light, fruity and refreshing. Thought prices were a notch (not a lot) higher than expected, but overall evening was an easy, relaxing one and glad we went. Good parking – a nice treat so close to downtown. Liked that they put some thought into the tabletop items by having entrees served on a large plate and large deep bowl, both decorated with a gold fleur des lis pattern that was outlined in red. Wine glasses were non-descript, but not clunky institutional (Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn?), but were nice, while not being obviously expensive. In these two areas of tabletop, someone thought this thru. Now, if they could do the same thoughtfulness with the cutlery and napkins, than that would be quite impressive. That said….we definitely recommend.

Annapolis Staple. The girls at Paul’s are serious about what they do. They work hard to bring a culinarily challenged town real food at great prices. I highly recommend the Avgo-Lemono soup and the NY Strip and Fries for lunch.Great service, very nice atmosphere, cool architecture… oh, and great food!
