Very good steakhouse. (08/06/2013) Went to Ruth’s Chris for a private party and was treated very well. There’s a plethora of excellent steakhouses in the Baltimore-DC area, competition is stiff. The best of the party menu was the signature petite filet mignon (not so petite! very generous portion) and the double-cut (enormous) pork chop. Filet was cooked as ordered, a rosy-red medium-rare, pork chop was juicy with a nice sear on the exterior. The heady, sizzling, toasty aroma of the butter that bathed all the meats wafted through the dining room as the orchestrated service approached. Family-style sides of smooth mashed potatoes and tender green beans with whole roasted garlic cloves were delicious and plentiful and perfect accompaniments for the proteins. The service plates were so hot, they heated with sides you placed on them! Chocolate Sin Cake and Cheesecake were decadent, perfect with a cup of coffee or digestif. Professional and gracious service.
I LOVE this Place!!!. Food is excellent, service is excellent. The only issue I have is that they removed the partition in the lounge area. With the partition, dining in the bar area (but not at the bar) was still quiet and cozy. Now, it feels more like, well, a bar. The booths there are for six, previously there were tables. It lost a little of the ambiance in the lounge area, but everything else remains superb. If I could afford it, I would eat there every night. (PS, they aren’t just steak….their pork chops, seafood, etc. are heavenly too!)
Best in Annapolis. In a town of bad restaurants I am happier than happy to visit Ruth’s Chris in Annapolis, MD. Excellent service, excellent food, true focus and attention to detail. If your wallet can handle Ruth’s Chris then you shouldn’t eat anywhere else. I highly recommend the Cowboy Ribeye (Pittsburgh’d) with a side of barnaise.
Annapolis-Eastport, Best Steak House. I’ve been to a few steak houses in Annapolis, and by far, this is the best one in the area. It is definitely in Annapolis and not in Pasadena, as the listing above states — it’s in Annapolis, right over the bridge (and to the left).
