Best small restaurant in Annapolis. Locals line up to get in. Best wine bar. Best staff and ownership.
There’s better in annapolis. Quite simply put, if you’re in annapolis (or if you live there), there is much better food to be found. for what you get the food is overpriced. the appetizer we had was the cheese. it was not that good (you would think that a wine bar would have good cheese). also, i thought we paid much more for the wine than what it was worth. we had some entrees that were not memorable, and the desserts in particular were very bad. the coffee was decent, but i could go to a nice quiet independent coffee store for that amount of money and have a better time.
Had a great evening here. Everything we ordered was delicious!! Fun menu.
Out of the way from tourist area of Annapolis is this little jewel. Food, wine and service is memorable.The following were oustanding and creative..portions were between ap to entree size.Clams in Curry Sauce – not hot but with great curry flavor, rich and sweet. Shrimp Romaulade – Seafood cooked perfect over a soft bluecorn grits.Pizzas – something called a Rockstar got our attention. Imagine Fois gras, Black Truffle, Carmelized Fig and Garlic and Two Cheeses. Simply amazing flavors i would never have imagined on a pizza. Crust is more like a flatbread.Wine choices are great.Only disappointment was the Butterscotch pudding…. rich but not enough flavor intensity.Be warned… no reservation and lines form early.
Hidden Gem. Vin 909 in Eastport area of Annapolis is a hidden gem! If you have a problem with waiting (no reservations) be sure to arrive early around 4:45/5pm. In the warmer months, waiting can be fun with a glass of wine on the lawn engaging other patrons. Once you are seated, the service is impeccable. The young chef has a creative way to serve healthy food in a new and delicious way; i.e. flat bread pizza with truffles, figs & foie gras, oh my! The wine is excellent although I would like to see the list expanded a little. The owner Alex is on-site greeting customers with a friendly smile. Will definitely go back many many times.
Great service! Excellent food! Amazing wines! Just wish it was a bigger place to accommodate all the customers!
